AFO Course 2/23-24
AFO candidates are highly encouraged to take the in-person course for initial certification.
AFO certification is valid for five years. 1.5 CEUs are awarded for completion of the AFO course.

Group A – Health Department considerations, Circulation, Filtration, Heating and power, Water Chemistry, Chlorine and chemical types, Sanitation, Breakpoint/ Super Chlorination, Pool water balance, Stabilization, Water testing, Chemical dosages, Pool problems and solutions, Alternate sources of disinfection, Automation and control, Design considerations, Spas and special case pool operation, Peripheral and deck equipment
Group B – Preventive maintenance, Safety considerations, Leadership/management, Risk management
ARC LGI and LGIT Recertification 2/27 plus online prep
This course meets the recertification requirements for American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructors and Lifeguarding Instructor Trainers. Participants must be either a current LGI or LGIT, or within 1 year of their expiration date.
If you are registering for just the AFO or the LGI and LGIT Recertification, please choose the registration type Aquatics Summit - AFO or LGI Only and then mark the sessions you want.
